Formed as The Maxwell's Plums Quartet (Rob joined a little later)
in the Spring of 1991. They cut their teeth as live performers in Morganstown Rugby Club,
playing during the Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks from their respective Universities, between
1991 and 1994.
Rob joined the band for Morganstown RFC gig 4, bringing about a change in name to The Maxwell's Plums.
They played a number of gigs in this form, performing for the last time in 1994 in Club Metro, in the centre of Cardiff. They didn't play together as a band again until they reformed in the Summer of 1998, now simply called The Plums. Their first gig of this new era was on July 4th in Glamorgan Wanderers Rugby Club. The rest will be history. |
