An enjoyable return to the venue that has played host to many a Plums gig. A big thank you goes out to you all for making it a night to remember!

4/00 - Fresh Plums
The Plums announce a move away from covers to concentrate on original material. Although this will bring an end to the barnstorming weekend gigs often seen in The Wharf, it spells good news for those of you who enjoyed The Plums material on 'All Dayer' and 'Pear Shaped'. Expect bigger and better to come as the band gets down to some serious writing, some select performances over the summer and visiting the recording studio for the third time later in the year!

1/3/00 - Plumennium Brick
The Plums take their place alongside such greats as The Manic Street Preachers as their Millennium Walkway paver is unveiled in the shadow of Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

25/12/99 - 2000 For Y2K
Right on cue The Plums Site hit counter ticks over to 2000. Again thanks for the continued support.

25/11/99 - BBC Radio One
The Welsh Session gives Pear Shaped and the band a plug, many thanks to Beth and Huw.

27/8/99 - The Chip Wrapper Strikes Again
The South Wales Echo report the launch of Pear Shaped online. The coverage would have been welcomed, had they managed to print the correct web address. 2 out of 10, it just gets worse.

23/8/99 - Pear Shaped Release
Despite living up to the name during post production, the latest CD 'Pear Shaped' finally went on sale. Featuring 5 tracks: Pear Shaped; Fragile Heart: Your Stupid Face; Back; and Pear Reshaped (The Baptist Mix).

6/99 - New CD
The Plums are due to go back into the studio in June to record their second CD, 'Pear Shaped'. The CD will contain at least two tunes in addition to the title track, 'Back' and 'Fragile Heart'.

15/3/99 - Website Milestone
The Plums website passes 1000 hits. Thanks for the support of all those who paid us a visit - long may it continue.

12/3/99 - Back In The rag
At long last regional press reporter Alison Stokes gives The Plums CD a long promised review. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait. However, The Plums got some comedy mileage out of the reference to 'muilatary precision' when reviewing 'My Friend'. 3 out of 10 for effort Ali, must try harder.

'In these days of doom 'n' gloom rock, it's nice to see a band singing about the important things in life - like getting pissed. Reminiscent of Blur at their most jocular....'

23/10/98 - Press Coverage Part 2
The Plums appear in the South Wales Echo alongside the Cardiff Devils (Britain's premier ice hockey team) after former Devils' stalwart, and current Hockey Promoter, Shannon Hope revealed the team have been playing All Dayer in the dressing room before their home matches.

18/10/98 - Plum Web Site
The Plums web site goes live to feature all the latest music, gigs and other news on Cardiff's greatest unsigned band!

13/10/98 - First Press Coverage
The Plums appear in a full page article and colour photo in The Western Mail (the national newspaper of Wales), recounting The Plums story so far. Not bad for an unsigned band!

11/9/98 - First Wharf Gig
The Plums perform for the first time in The Wharf (now a regular Plums venue). The CD goes on sale for the first time.

4-7/9/98 - CD
The Plums record their first CD - All Dayer - at Ocean Studios.

4/7/98 - First Gig
The Plums perform their first gig in 4 years at Glamorgan Wanderers Rugby Club.

4/98 - The Reformation
After more than four years apart The Plums come back begins.
